A Thanksgiving Psalm

A Thanksgiving Psalm

Spend some time this week reading Psalm 136 – a psalm of thanksgiving from the Jewish people. In this psalm, they praise God for the great things He has done specifically for them – delivering them from their enemies, parting the Red Sea for them, guiding them through the desert, and more.

If you wrote a psalm of thanksgiving for what God has done in your life, what would it look like? On your own or with your family, take this formula and put together your personal or your family’s version of Psalm 136, giving thanks to God for the great things He has done for you this month, this year, or throughout your life!

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good,

for His steadfast love endures forever.

Give thanks to him who alone does great wonders,

for His steadfast love endures forever;

Give thanks to Him who spread out the earth above the waters,

for His steadfast love endures forever;

Give thanks ____________________________
